Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0601 stands for "Internal Control Module Memory Checksum Error." It is triggered when the powertrain control module (PCM) detects an internal problem, typically a failed Memory checksum test. The PCM's memory checksum test is performed regularly.Oct 27, 2023
If fuse was bad it would not start at all, definitely not the fuse, running for a while usually means that something gets hot, and thermal switch kills it.
Could my fuel pump be bad ????? Rather then guessing , i suggest you test fuel pressure to know for sure . Videos on youtube showing how . You will need to buy a fuel pressure testing tool . (55-62 psi) VIN: (V, T,U)
Before replacing anything you people need to go to school and learn how to test .
starts up but dies out . Is security light lit on the instrument cluster ? anti-theft system . will disable injectors if there is a problem .
Question edited for clarity. Did you know typing in CAPS is considered shouting, plus it is harder to read.
Question moved to model category.
The EGR valve is located in the engine compartment (underneath the hood). Most engines require exhaust gas recirculation to meet emissions standards.

Did you disconnect the battery when you did the fuel pump?
Did you reset the alarm and engine immobilizer?
Did you check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes?
Something has likely fallen between the top of the liftgate and the cab. It will be the space above the seal. Use a clothes hanger or something similar to remove the obstruction.
For strangeness like that, you need a good local auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer. Sounds like a communication issue with sensors and the BCM.
Time to replace the Thermostat and Radiator Cap, if the cooling system has not been serviced, you may want to replace the coolant with a 50/50 mix water/antifreeze. Make sure it's 50/50, to much antifreeze will gel up and to much water will freeze or boil over. If your not sure how to mix the antifreeze, you can buy the pre mixed.
1999 GMC TRUCKS YUKON 5.7L 8-cyl Engine Code [R] Cooling System, With AC Initial Fill..........19 liters Cooling System, Without AC Initial Fill..........16.5 liters Good luck and keep me posted.
The Denali is seen often on this site with electrical problems. It is terribly over-engineered and reliant on modules and sensors. The issues you are seeing are all issues with the BCM (Body Control Module). Before you rush out and buy one, take the vehicle to a good auto-electrician. With a high level scan tool computer, they can run live data and diagnose issues historically and as they happen.
Every time you disconnect the battery, you would have to do a Security Re-Learn and also, various engine parts have to relearn themselves as they run. The Throttle Body is one, and that is the part that monitors your idle along with the sensors attached to it.
Some radios have to have the vehicle VIN Number programmed into them. This was done as a way to stop 'theft to order'. Perhaps yours wasn't original to the vehicle, and the alarm system (BCM controlled) sees that?
We have a GM electronics Expert here, so hopefully Jeff will also chime in..
