Clutch pedal goes to floor. I change the clutch,
you need to pressure bleed the system, or you can fill the brake system to over fill as it needs to be over the pipe for the clutch line. and keep it there and pump and bleed the line, but before pumping undo the bleed screw and put bowl uner to catch fluwid and fill the line up till it runs out clear with no bubbles. then tighten the bleed screw. then fill up and pump pedal, the re bleed. should be done then, pressure kit doe this all in one just hold clutch down and undo the bleed screw let air out etc then tighten up. and its done. used for doing the breaks as well.
My gas gauge is stuck on full. I've replaced the sending unit and have check all the wireing and nothing works what can it be?
It helps to know how it works ! The fuel level sending unit is a input to the VCM - engine computer . The VCM needs this info so it can do evap. emission leak detection testing ! The VCM sends this info. to the instrument cluster via the class 2 serial data network .
U.S. Federal regulations require that all automobile manufacturers establish a common communications system. This vehicle utilizes the Class 2 communications system. Each bit of information can have one of two lengths, long or short. This allows the vehicle wiring to be reduced by the transmission and reception of the multiple signals over a single wire. The messages which are carried on Class 2 data streams are also prioritized. In other words, if two messages attempt to establish communications on the data line at the same time, only the message with the higher priority will continue. The device with the lower priority message must wait. The most significant result of this regulation is that the regulation provides the scan tool manufacturers with the capability of accessing the data from any make or model vehicle sold in the United States.
Hooking up a factory tech 2 scan tool to view sensor data inputs to an from the VCM an checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's is the proper way to diagnose .
DTC P0462 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
DTC P0463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Voltage
The Fuel Level sensor is an important input to the VCM for the Enhanced Evaporative System Diagnostic. The VCM needs the fuel level information in order to know the volume of fuel in the tank. The fuel level affects the rate of change in the air pressure in the EVAP system. Several of the Enhanced Evaporative System Diagnostic sub-test are dependent upon the correct fuel level information. The diagnostic will not run when the tank is greater than 85% or less than 15% full. (This sensor signal disables the misfire when the fuel levels are less than 15%). This DTC is a type D DTC.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
• The control module stores the DTC in history after the first failure but will not illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).
Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.
I have an 89 GMC
changing the transmission is not an option as it is working good
the problem will be an actuator or servo/solenoid
take it to an auto transmission specialist professional and have it properly diagnosed
1998 gmc sierra wont start. battery is fine.
Did you try moving the gear selector to neutral ? Manual or automatic transmission ? Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? How to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter to test electrical circuit for the starter ? How to do voltage drop testing ? Where do you here the clicking ? Do you know what a starter relay is ?
Testing an not guessing is how to diagnose .
Starter Voltage Drop
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Free wiring diagrams , enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size. Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on starting . Click the search button then the blue link . Testing the electrical circuit's is how to diagnose this , not guessing . If that is the best you can do you would be better off taking it to a qualified repair shop . This is how professional technician's diagnose .
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
When I first get in
This could be many things, but you might have leaky fuel injector(s). Possible weak spark.
1996 GMC SIERRA XC 4x4 wont even turn over
What is the voltage on the battery ? If it's not in the 13.5 volt range the battery is not charged.
What does the battery read when you try to crank ? It should be in the 10.5volt range.
Get a set of jumper cables. Hook them up correctly and see if it cranks. If it does - the battery is not fully charged or it's a bad battery.
A car battery can produce enough amps to light lights and other small stuff but not produce enough amps for the starter to turn over the engine.
