Without testing we'd only be guessing ! Do you want to replace a bunch of parts till the problem is fixed ? Hooking up a scanner an looking at engine management system sensor's (data ) inputs to the engine computer would be the first place to start. If you don't have the ability to do this , suggest you take it to a qualified repair shop . Or learn automotive Engine system diagnostic's . A lot of thing's could cause the problem your having . Are you refering to the thermostat for the coolant system on the engine or the controls for the in car heat? One can affect the other. In car heat is usually controlled by electronic within the dashboard. The engine thermostat is located below a black L shaped pipe on the front end of the engine. Refer to the photo below.

Most likely you snapped the 4WD chain in the transfer case. Put it in 4WD go in reverse with the wheel turned if the vehicle does this smoothly than your 4WD is not engaged.

Your carb has a very small pinhole that lets the fuel in the float section drain out. You may have to replace the carb. Good luck with that.

Sounds like it's worn out, best take into the shop for repair, should only cost $20 with parts.

The only C3500 info I find pertains to pickups and Vans. You need to be very clear about yr, make, model, engine size, 2 or 4 WD. The more info, the better. This is what I see for a 97 Jimmy 4WD.

I'm not sure of vin? My info shows oil pressure switch in parallel with fuel pump relay, so if that switch is functional and has voltage, once you crank it enough to bring up oil pressure, the pump should run even without the relay. The voltage for load side of relay and oil pressure switch comes from ecm B fuse. The voltage for control side of fuel pump relay comes from pcm. Any other issues besides fuel? Engine cranking do you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse? If your missing the last two, have to check for rpm signal.

you should be able check fuel pressure at shredder valve and turn key on and off 3 times should be good enough, id check to make sure you have good oil pressure ,then make sure oil pressure switch isn't at fault

Is the check engine light on? See what it says. It may be transmission related. The leaking fluid is probably transmission fluid. If it's really low you'll have a problem.

Check engine light blinking ( flashing ) indicates a severe engine misfire , a cataylic converter damaging misfire ! What code did you read . Blinking Engine Light Means NOW Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop right away !
