Should be a fuse block under dash to the left of the steering column. Look for a fuse labeled "cluster", or just check them all.

Did you forget the three bolts that go through the flex plate into the torque converter. I know it may seem like a dumb answer but I have gotten excited before and forgot things. Others do it as well. Just gives you something to laugh about later.

You can get one of those hand pump sifen hose or the other option is to drop the tranny pan.

the 4.3 is .035,
the 5.0 is .045

On a lot of chevy you need to axess the plugs from inside the wheel wells . The plugs are on the side of the block look for the wires that will lead you to the plugs . But you likely need to remove the front tires to be able to get the angel to get a socket wrench on the plugs to remove them . 4.3 engine if this what you have you need to do this but many other chevy engines are the same Good luck just look at it

Rearding the electrical in and outs of the car I strongly suggest that you get a copy of Haynes Manual on any auto parts store or bookstore. This will guide you fully not even on electrical but the in and outs of the car for only atleast $16. Not bad for an investment specially if this car is for keeps.

hello howard. There is a fuse panel to the left of the steering column behind a removable panel. Begin by checking and changing the fuse to the heater. The other posssible problem is the heater relay which is a plug in located under the dash, to the right of the steering column. IF the relay is bad the fan will not come on. IF you check and/or change each of these items and your heater still doesn't work then you probably will have to go to a repair shop. Joe

code 44 set on pre 1995 gm vehicles is a o2 sensor reading lean or bias to .2 volts or less. it could be the o2 sensor, it could be a vacuum leak making the exhaust have too much oxygen thus making the o2 sensor to read lean or put out a lean reading. If the o2 sensor is old 75k-100k it's probably time for a new one anyway. an exhaust leak near (upstream) to the o2 sensor can pull in air even though the exhaust is leaking out and fool the o2 sensor with the added oxygen also. you could also have a fuel delivery problem creating a true lean condition. there are ways a tech can test an o2 sensor to see if it's the sensor or a mechanical problem causing the code.

Hi!!The only places where you can get the roof cloth is the dealer and an Upholstery Shop/Store. If your roof cloth is only loose and not ripped, you can remove the trim around the roof of the car or if it is only a small part that is coming loose and apply fabric spray adhesive in between the roof and the cloth to make it stick together. It usually works pretty good if the roof padding is not too dry that disintegrates when you touch it. If that's the case, you need to install new roof padding found at the upholstery shop/store.

what year? what engine? what model? Usually on gm vehicles with distributors that are electronic (after points) there is a ring / cap on the top surrounding the coil with this info embossed onto it.

Firing order of a v8 chevy prior to Generation III engines is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2.

Hi. This is a hard one it depends on where it broke,can you cut the housing to get to cable core and pull with pleirs, if it snapped at latch then you will need to remove the grill or go from the bottom and try to hit the release the same wat the cable did,sometime if you grab the cable near the latch and pull hard it will open, good luck.

no the regulators are different

Double check to make sure the plug wires are on tight and in the right order. Fire it up after dark and look for arcing at the wires. They may need to be replaced.
I never was satisfied with the way other plugs worked in my GM's. I stuck with AC/Delco plugs and always had good service and performance. I even put them in a 409 that idled at 1500RPM. They would take everything it would ask for. Just a personal prefence but They always worked for me. Hope this helps.

What else do you expect from a boy racer sunday mechanic system,rip it out and just use a crook lock ,Nothing but trouble these aftermarket stirling mose or halfords made in china junk .The chips used are poor quality and always go wrong.Also it wouldnt stop me for more than a few minutes to steal car just cut battery earth cable from below the lift car with tow truck.easy

Yes. GM made all Chevrolet El Camino's and GMC Caballero's excactly the same, save for badge and trim packages. You can interchange parts with El Camino/Malibu/Monte Carlo cars and some S-10 trim peices will fit. But all three Cars will interchange interior parts. as for the bumpers, Only El camino/Malibu/Caballero will fit without modifying them. A simple Bolt-On and go.
