Change spark plugs and now car wont start.....1994 ford tarus

Do you have the "firing order" correct? In other words, is each spark plug wire going to the same cylinder it was on before you changed the plugs? If you have done nothing else but changed the plugs then this is the most likely problem.
If when you try to start the car it backfires through the exhaust or backfires through the intake. Then this " IS" the problem. Good luck.

1999 Ford Taurus. I want to do a TCM reset. It goes into gear but only briefly!

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to model category. There is no such thing as a 'hard reset' on a car. You are getting confused with phones and tablets. Disconnecting the battery just clears any saved data, and that won't help you. You are falling into the 'let's try replacing this' method of car repair. It is costly and it doesn't work. If you replace the TCM and ECM they need programming to the vehicle. Find a local auto-electrician. He will have a pro grade scan tool computer that will analyze the TCM and the ECM, and the transmission solenoids and the communication between all those parts. The data from that testing will tell you what is wrong and what, if anything needs replacing.

the multifunction switch is a common problem on fords. the switch controls the wipers, turn signals, high beams and hazards, and sometimes only 1 part of it will fail. in your case it sounds like 2 parts fail at the same time.

No Low beam headlights

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuits using a DMM - digital multi-meter ? Principles of Operation The headlamp switch is supplied power at all times from the smart junction box (SJB). When the headlamps switch is placed in the headlamps ON position, power is routed to the multifunction switch. Depending on the position of the multifunction switch, power is routed through one of two circuits to the SJB. If the multifunction switch is in the high beam position, power is routed through SJB fuse 12 (15A) and then on to the high beam headlamps. If the multifunction switch is in the low beam position, power is routed through SJB fuses 11 (10A) and 15 (10A) to the LH and RH headlamps, respectively. Power to the multifunction switch is available at all times for the flash-to-pass feature. Is there B+ voltage at fuse's # 11 & 15 with headlamps on an the multifunction switch is in the low beam position ? If not check for B+ voltage at the multifunction switch . What conecting wires go where to the starter

If your vehicle has a starter solenoid out by the battery and fender well, then I have provided an image that will assist you and it will connect like so;

1. Connection 1 should have the Pos. (+) battery cable and all of the wires with the large eyelet connectors from the wiring harness connected to it, except for the large cable that runs down to the starter.

2. Connection 2 should only have the large cable going down to the starter connected to it, and there should be no other wire connected there.

3. Connection 3 is the "S" terminal on the starter solenoid, and it is the wire with the small push on connector that is hot only when the key is in the "start" position, usually it is a red wire with a blue stripe, but that is not always the case.

4. Connection 4 is the "I" connection on the starter solenoid and it feeds current back into the ignition, and it is not used on a lot of vehicles after 1981, but if your vehicle has it it will be a small push on connector that will not have any power from it at all, and it will usually be a black wire with a white stripe, but that is not always so.

If the starter in your vehicle has the solenoid mounted on the starter then it will connect in a similar way, and the Pos. (+) battery cable along with all of the wires that have the large eyelet connectors on them will be connected together on the upper large terminal on the starter solenoid, and the wire with the smaller eyelet connector on it will be connected to the "S" terminal on the starter solenoid, and the "I" terminal if it even has one should not be used.

96 ford tuarus that has AX4N transmission wont

You may want to change the vehicle speed sensor first. Is your speedometer working? The shift solenoids are inside the side cover of the transmission and it's quite a job to get that cover off, you practically have to take the trans out of the car. Are you getting a "check engine" light there may be a code in the computer that will tell you what is going on. If one of those solenoids fail it should trigger a "check engine" light, the solenoids are usually pretty trouble free as a rule. I'm not sure on that transmission, but I think there are two shift solenoids, but there is also a "torque converter clutch solenoid". Also, if you can get it to a trany shop they can put a scan tool on your car and tell you exactly what's happening. Have you tried manually shifting the car? Pull it down into 1 then manually shift it up, see if it will shift that way.

Ford Taurus won't go into gear but will go in reverse

I would check the fluid level because low fluid can cause this problem. If the fluid is full, when was the last time the ATF was changed? If the fluid has not been changed regularly then you may have some sludge or particles fouling a valve in your valve body.
