Location of the EVAP canister on a 05 Dodge Magnum sxt awd
Read no engine and can change where all evap part are;...... RTM"? it can only be 3 places, bay, mid car or at tank. my jeep is mid car, if not seen in the bay then we look at the tank./
bingo. got scan tool errors. most eVAP are loose or bad gas cap; and takes over 30 driving cycles to reset, fooling, everyone lacking scan tool and pushbutton reset on tool (all have it) the parts dealer, mopar.com shows hose 8 to tank vent the tank vent always goes to the CAN, only how far that is varies.
How do I reset the computer in my dodge magnum
Proper way is with code scanner with erase capability. Or you can try to unhook your battery and turn on the headlights, wait about 5 min. then reconnect battery. If you have stereo with code lock make sure to have code before doing.
I swapped out my harness on my 2005 magnum rt 5.7 hemi
Have you had the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic system after you fitted the new wiring harness? On some vehicles if the ECU detects issues with more than one sensor it goes into 'safe mode' and the vehicle won't start. It will need to be reset for the Original ECU to recognise the new wiring harness.

Have you heard or read that 3.5L engines in the Magnums blow up?
Dodge magnum engines are like any other make or model. Engines usually only 'blow up' if they have not been maintained correctly and have been badly treated, (driven hard before the engine has warmed up to working temperature. If you want a Magnum go and look at as many as you can BEFORE you decide to buy one. If the vehicle has no documented history WALK AWAY!!
Not sure but it seems the 2006 and 2008 models seemed to be the problem years. There were more than one engine size fitted so the issue could have been with the larger V8 engine.
