All depends on what your issue is. One thing to remember, many of the components operate on resistance. And a vehicle that is 23 years old is bound to have some corrosion in circuits and switches. You might not have a BCM issue, you possibly have a corrosion issue.

P1782 DODGE - 2/4-OD Pressure Switch Circuit
Possible causes of this code are:
- Low transmission fluid level (check level hot transmission only)
- Dirty transmission fluid (has transmission been serivced at least every 60,000 miles, fluid and new filter?)
- Faulty 2/4-OD Pressure Switch
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch poor electrical connection
- 2/4-OD Pressure switch circuit is open or shorted
P1782 DODGE Description
The pressure 2/4-OD Pressure Switch is part of the pressure switch of the transmission. The pressure switch are located in the solenoid assembly. The switch provide input information to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). The switch will inform to the TCM is pressure exist in a specified hydraulic circuit. the TCM uses this information to verified that the solenoids are working or not.
