STARTER DEAD MEANS NO CRANK???????????? CRANKS FAST BUT DOES NOT START, MEANS JUST THAT.? OR cranks then STARTS AND STALLS.? I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND THE END OF LINE 3 ABOVE. WE CAN NOT HEAR YOUR STARTER SPIN FAST, YOU MUST SAY IT AND TYPE IT. OK. THE IDLE CONTROLS ARE FAILING (IAC VALVE) OR you never got tune up in 20 years? and the spark plugs are shot. as expected 100% that. IF BY CHANCES IT DOES CRANK FAST AND WILL NOT START UsE 5% right foot throttle to start the engine, if the starter is dead, shift to neutral and crank that way the users guide (free) tells how. a starter can be dead silent or clicks or chatters or goes GRRRRRRGVRRRRRR that load cranking sound. what does your starter do in line 3 , hot started.

is the bendix the right one,must have the right size.

Battery cable goes to the center bolt and the other if u have one goes to ground.

Question edited for clarity. Question moved to sub category. You order them to the vehicle, not by size. The three belts are here with the OEM Parts numbers. Unfortunately the seat belt must be replaced the mechanism that control it is stuck and cannot be release.

I would recommend checking the fuses for the dashboard lights. If no fuses are burned, there could be a possibility of the bulbs in the dash being burned. In any case, start by looking in the manual for fuses relating to dashboard/gauge cluster lights. Once you find out what fuse it should be go from there.

See if your security light stays on when the key is turned to the ON position. If so, you need to have your VATS system checked.

yes you can move it to the other side of the street. Just dont run it more than a few minutes because without the belt the water pump won't turn. Just be aware that the power steering wont work either in this process so it will be difficult to steer.

Does 4x4 high work?

it may be the sensor if it has one or it may be the unit it self

not sure but you should be able to find it it is like 3 inches across and 8 inches long and its a cylinder type affair.. it also has a pressure switch in it which lets your compressor turn off and on depending upon the amount of freon in your system.. if low this switch will shut off your compressor .. it should be up near the radiator or if not there it will be near the firewall on passenger side.. this should put you at it ... thanks and holler if you need more... Hello. It seems either a relay is malfunctioning and/or the headlamp switch in your lighting system is at fault. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

i had one of these problem childs in my shop after hours of no problem . finnaly it died at the repair shop this problem was related directly to heat and with a scann tool i could see erratic crank reference . let it sit for 5 or so min it fired right back up . this is the ticket when the problem happens lay on the gas while turning it over if you hear it poping out the intake or out out the exhaust like spark is at the wrong time you have your answer. on these motors the injector pulse is responsibility of cam sensor and spark is the cranksensors duo.
