My 2005 suburban AC is blowing hot air
If you touched any of the A/C controls within 45 seconds of starting your Suburban (after the battery change), you messed up the 'calibration mode' of the HVAC.
Pull the HVAC fuse (10amp) under the hood, and pull the two adjacent fuses (30 and 10amp) under the dash listed as 'climate control' in the manual.
Push the fuses back in, restart your car, but DONT TOUCH ANY of the A/C controls for 90 seconds.
I bet the A/C starts working again normally.
I need wiring diagram (Schematics)
@Anonymous,I have a 2001 K1500 Suburban, and need the Wiring Diagram to sort out why the Power Mirrors and Windows don't work.Ordering new mirrors, as the right one is busted by a jerk.the Right Window works IF we pound on the door panel, some times, like once in 20 licks.Test Light on Mirror Fuse 10A has no power at all, don't know if that is because Mirror Switch is not depressed or ??I am a retired Electronics Tech, just need some Schematics for this truck.thanks in Advance.John in OkieLand jtcraigjr@ G mail dot com

I have a 2004 suburban with power fold, heat,
I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both
solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything
got it from
www.reliable-store.com
2 problems...Service 4WD...(already replaced switch module!), and won't start with ~1/2 tank gas or less!
Do you know how to do scan tool diagnostic's ? Checking DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes , viewing input data to the computers on the vehicle . The fuel sending unit is located inside the fuel tank ,it is a input to the PCM - engine computer . The PCM use's this fuel level info . to be able to conduct testing procedures for the evaporative emission system.
The Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP) is used to prevent gasoline vapors from escaping into the atmosphere from the fuel tank and fuel system. The EVAP system usually requires no maintenance, but faults can turn on the Check Engine light and prevent a vehicle from passing an OBD II plug-in emissions test..
Shorted sensors can cause all kind of problems .including bring down the five volt reference circuit inside the PCM . Also checking for DTC'S in the 4X4 control module should have been done before replacing parts . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop.
Do you know which transfercase your vehicle has ?
The NVG 246 EAU transfer case features a 4 button shift control switch located on the instrument panel.
The BW 4482 transfer case features a 3-button shift control switch located on the instrument panel.
Just replacing parts is not the way to a fix . Both systems can set a number of DTC'S
DTC B0790
DTC B2725
DTC C0306
DTC C0327
DTC C0329
DTC C0359
DTC C0550
The NVG 246 EAU transfer case
DTC B0790
DTC B2725
DTC C0300
DTC C0305
DTC C0306
DTC C0321
DTC C0327
DTC C0359
DTC C0374
DTC C0379
DTC C0550
Do yourself a favor ,have a qualified repair shop diagnose the problem . An you can't just replace the 4X4 control module an expect it to work .It needs to be programmed .

Do you have a wiring diagram for TCCM ?
The transfer case shift control module is equipped with the ability to store diagnostic information, which is useful to a technician in the event of module, component or wiring failures. This information can be retrieved from the transfer case shift control module by way of flash codes, which are displayed on the three transfer case shift control switch buttons. These buttons are located on the instrument panel to the right of the steering wheel Before obtaining DTCs, perform the following transfer case control module (TCCM) Self-Test.
TCCM Self-Test
Observe the transfer case shift control switch indicators while turning the ignition switch to RUN. A properly operating system will flash all indicators and then will return to the current gear. If the system is operating normally, then proceed to Displaying Codes.
If the TCCM failed the Self-Test, then test the following circuits.
• Battery Positive Voltage (40 and 1640), and Ignition 3 Voltage for battery voltage
• Ground Circuit for ground
• Diagnostic enable circuit for an open or high resistance
• Transfer case shift control switch connector
If the above circuits are normal but the TCCM still fails the Self-Test, replace the TCCM. Refer to Transfer Case Shift Control Module Replacement .
Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's ? How to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? Free wiring diagrams here
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html
Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size . Under system click on driveline/Axle ,then under subsystem click on transfer case controls . Click the search button then the blue links . Do you know where the TCCM lives ? Check all power and ground's . If all are good , replace the TCCM .
