Hello. It seems your vehicle has a 'shorting/malfunctioning turn signal switch and/or 'grounding' wires in the wiring harness. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

Access panel in the trunk for fuel pump on 2005 impala?

Not sure if there is one. My '05 Buick Century does not have an access panel. Pull back the carpet in the trunk and look for a round or oval panel with screws. It would be right over the top of the fuel tank, right over where the pump module sits in the tank-where the fuel lines come out of the tank-that is where the module is. If there is no access panel, it is a bit harder to change out the pump. You have to remove the gas tank, and pull it from under the vehicle. It was not that difficult on my Century-I did it on my driveway. Look at a repair manual for the complete procedure.

2005 Chevy Impala 3.4 V6. Why is it stuck in drive?

Question edited for clarity.Question moved to model category.Wow, that is cold for Texas. It probably has the original transmission fluid in and it is gummy and thick. The filter is probably blocked because of the cold and the shift solenoids are also sticking because of the temperature. Start the vehicle and let it tick over until it gets to normal operating temperature, then try again. Get to a transmission shop and have the transmission filter cleaned and new transmission fluid.

2007 Chevy Impala, clicking noise starts BEFORE key in ignition. Why?

If your 2007 Chevy Impala is making a clicking noise before the key is even inserted into the ignition, it could be caused by a few different issues. Some potential causes include:
  1. Faulty starter motor: The starter motor is responsible for starting the engine when the ignition is turned on. If the starter motor is faulty or has worn out, it may make a clicking noise as it tries to engage with the flywheel.
  2. Loose or damaged starter motor relay: The starter motor relay is an electrical component that sends power to the starter motor when the ignition is turned on. If the relay is loose or damaged, it may cause a clicking noise.
  3. Low battery: If the battery is low on charge or has gone bad, it may not have enough power to start the engine, causing a clicking noise.
  4. Other electrical issues: There may be other electrical issues, such as a loose connection or a problem with the ignition switch, that are causing the clicking noise.
To determine the cause of the clicking noise, it is recommended to bring your vehicle to a mechanic or a dealership for further diagnosis and repair. They will be able to test the starter motor, battery, and other electrical components to determine the source of the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.

Soft plug at the back of the engine is leaking,

you engine has about 10 freeze plugs, there were created to be pushed out by ice if your antifreeze wasn't strong enough and froze inside the engine, that way the ice didn't crack the block when it expanded.
what causes freeze plugs to leak is the erosion affects from the antifreeze we use today, when they tell you to change your antifreeze every couple of years, the freeze plugs take another shot of strong antifreeze again, they just rust up on the inside of the engine until they get a rust hole in them

Engine light stays o n my 2006 impala

you may have to reset the engine light. These cars are all computerized. Call the dealership and tell them that you had to replace the gas cap as it was faulty and caused your check engine light to come on. Ask them if they can reset the "computer" or if they can tell you how to do it (if that is possible).

Don't know if that will work, but my dad has been in the car business for over 35 years - I tend to listen to most the things he says......

My 2005 Chevy Impala will not crank. I can jumper the crank relay and it will start but then stop running. I changed the starter but it will not crank?

Question edited for typos. Question moved to model category. So you turn the key and nothing happens, no click, engine doesn't turn over, nothing? You know 'cranking' is turning over? If the engine doesn't 'fire', it isn't running. There is no such thing as a 'crank relay', you mean the starter relay or perhaps the starter solenoid. Call out a mobile auto electrician. They can hook up a fancy $5,000 scan tool computer and diagnose this in 15 minutes. It is electronic, maybe the immobilizer. https://www.google.com/search?q=auto+electrician+near+me ..

You may have an air pocket in the engine block. Make sure it is bleed properly. Also, some water pump impellers have been known to breakdown, made of plastic. A head gasket leak can also appear to be a boiling over condition.

My 2008 Chevy Impala is stuck in 1 position even though it's in 'Park'.

Check that the shifter cable is still attached to the shift lever at the transmission. It's a fairly common issue for this year for the nylon bushing on the end of the shift cable to get brittle and break. This causes the shift cable to become disconnected from the shift lever.
