1996 Chevy Cavalier What is the metal pipe called that runs across the top of the engine... is secured to the manifold, and has the bleeder screw in it?

That would be a heater tube. The bleeder is to remove air from the cooling system

Po118 code will not clear on my 1998 chevy cavalier , i put in a new temperture sensor and checked the voltage coming in which is 5 volts and checked the resistance from cold to warm and it is greater

Sounds like you replace the temperature sending unit(for the gauge on dash) what you need to replace is the Temperature sensor for the computer (ECM)

I have a 1998 chevorlet

Your problem lies with the flow of hydraulic fluid in the transmission and has nothing what so ever to do with the fuel or engine. Have the transmission looked at by a specialized transmission service shop.

Cooling System Failure 2000 Chevy Cavalier 2.2LOHV

Did you have the head checked, they have been known to break inside the runners . I always used a vacuum fill system when working on these, jack up the pass front corner when doing a coolant refill, that should eliminate an air lock If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/david_4c166ba81493f541

I have a '97 Z24

Sorry but your description doesn't really make sense - the wipers work, you say, but when switched on they remain in the correct parked position... Presumably when switched off they park vertically. It is worth noting the single sweep timer and the screenwash (5 wiper sweeps) influences the self parking. The circuit is quite complicated and it is best not to be involved unless necessary and then a circuit diagram would be invaluable. It is also important the wiper linkage crank is correctly "timed" to the wiper motor for correct parking. The wiper motor and integrated gearbox is fairly simple to examine and test but the gearbox also contains the self parking switch which can be examined for wear and cleanliness though testing isn't very practical. I suggest you begin by removing the wiper motor and examining the condition of the self parking switch inside the gearbox. If it is worn or corroded replace the motor. When refitting connect the wiring and switch on the ignition and then briefly switch on the wiper motor and switch off. The motor should continue for a second or two and then stop. Switch off the ignition. Position the wiper blades in the proper parked position and then refit the wiper linkage crank to the motor...

Engine problem with toyota cavalier

Hey Mizz_Kitty No, its not loose wiring (unless you or someone has been tinkering under the hood)..Do you have gas (are you SURE- add some to make sure - the gauge maybe WRONG!),,There are numerous things that could be wrong... TOO many to cover here.. I would recommend towing this vehicle to a qualified professional and let them diagnose the problem!!

It's very cold outside, my battery light is on and it's hard to steer my car?

Are you sure that you don't have power steering? It sounds to me like you have a leak in your power steering and low on fluid. The battery light is usually an indication that your alternator is not charging.
