If you have no oil pressure it sounds to me like you didn't turn the pump you would need an old distributor shaft to turn the pump a drill and socket won't turn it it is a slotted shaft the distributor sets on check your gauge if an electric one if a hydraulic gauge the check your oil line from the block to the instrument cluster gauges have been found faulty get a hydraulic gauge and connect it to the oil channel on the block to get a true reading what's wrong. It may be that you have a vacuum leak. In some models of GM cars the AC controls are controlled by vacuum. At idle the vacuum may not have enough suction to hold a control in the desired position. When the situation happens, place the transmission in neutral and increase the RPM. If the AC blows cold then the vacuum may be the problem.

Hi orvil brad hear, I would guess since you said you have a brake fluid leak, all of the master cylinder pressure is going out through the leak, not leaving enough pressure to actuate your clutch. If its not this it will problem be inside the tranny and thats another story. Good luck

Important: On vehicles equipped with the 2.4L engine, open the coolant air bleed valve. The coolant air bleed valve is located on the top of the thermostat bypass pipe/heater pipe assembly. Close the valve once a continuous stream of coolant is expelled from the valve.

Notice: When adding coolant, it is important that you use GM Goodwrench DEX-COOLâ„¢ coolant. If coolant other than DEX-COOLâ„¢ is added to the system, the engine coolant will require change sooner: at 50 000 km (30,000 miles) or 24 months.

If previously removed, install the engine block drain plugs.

Fill the surge tank to the base of the filler neck.
Start the engine with the pressure cap off. Let the engine run until the upper radiator hose starts to get hot.
If the coolant level in the surge tank is low, add the proper mix of coolant until the level reaches the full cold line.
Important: After servicing the cooling system, and if the vehicle is equipped with an intermittent low coolant light, an occasional low coolant light may be encountered during some extreme driving maneuvers. This complaint should be eliminated by removing the surge tank cap and adding coolant to a level just at or above the full cold line when the system is cold.
Install the cap onto the tank with hand tight pressure.
We changed the slave cylinder
If there is no bleed port, you have to bleed it before installation and then bleed the last bit of air by loosening the hose connection.

Cavalier lost power and now wont start
You should check your fuel pump; it is very commun to Stop working at any moment .see if there is pressure at the injection port,if possible;or remove the throttle body intake hose and spray some starting fluid, close it,and crank it, if it start, your pump is bad. If you car is equipped with timing belt, this is another very commun cause of power lost; you may have a broken timing belt.
