1996 Chevy Beretta. What is the best way to reset the computer in it please?

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Best Computers to model category. You don't say WHY you want to reset the ECM? Remove both battery leads for 5 minutes. Touch the negative and positive leads together for 30 seconds. Reconnect the positive lead, reconnect the negative lead. Make sure the key is in the ignition but not turned on. You may have to reset the alarm if it has one. You may need to input the radio code.

Transmission will not always shift back in 1 gear

TCC solenoid is sticking. Very common with the 125C trans. If you want to just "get by" you can unplug the squarre plug on the front side of the trans and this problem will be gone. It is fine to drive that way - may lose a couple mile per gallon out on the highway but you can drive em forever that way

I am assuming that this is the trans you have. That it isn't an overdrive - no circle around the D?

1988 Chevrolet Beretta. It suddenly lost power about 60 mph. No gas pedal at all decreased speed and about 20 mph it ran fine, runs good at dead stop.

I really need to know what size engine you have in your Beretta as well as how many gears are on the shifter as in low one low two Drive with a circle around it or one two three drive with a circle around it sounds to me like a torque converter pressure switch when vehicle is shifting into overdrive switch is not operating correctly releasing pressure from torque converter causing vehicle not to have enough counterweight for transmission until vehicle slows down and then will operate again shifting through gears until the Overdrive goes to kick in send more info

How do you replace heater core in 96 beretta?

The heater core is located under the dashboard inside the car. right behind the radio. theres 2 covers that control the flow of air. the first is relatively simple. remove the bolts and pull it out, if it resists try to find what it is hung up on. then the second cover is what covers the actual heater core. remove that by removing the screws and it should come out also with relative ease. then on the outside of the car, almost to the bottom of the firewall, there are two hoses, one is your ac the other is your heat, remove both of those and the heater core should be free other than four screws holding it in the car, remove those and it should come out. replacement is the exact opposite of removal.

Beretta stalling when braking. HELP!

First I would get those brakes looked at. There are generally little wire wear switches in the brake pads. When they wear the wire off, it trips the computer something is wrong. Heavens can only guess what else it does in the ECU mind. So fix that first and then see if problem goes away.

92 Chevy beretta. I replaced my batteryand had my

If the car stops running, it sounds like a faulty device in the main 12v feed from the battery to the main fuse block (including ignition), which is abnormally going open under usual loads. This could be a fusible link, fuse, relay or circuit breaker - you will need a wiring diagram or service manual to figure out which might be the culprit (try Alldata.diy.com).
