I don't know your car model but check the tail light lens is not full of water check the wires - what colours are the tail lights . Check the wiring loom going through the boot to the passenger compartment under back seat and under the carpet for exposed wires. Has the car had any crash in the back ? the wires going to other side tail light may have been crushed inside the back car panel

no car told at all just and engine flying in space? a GM engine? LS3/ gee plastic material , steel washer. screws, nuts, bolts, what? or just gasket material. anythng metal is super bad dropped inside any engine but if it falls to the oil pan only it is probably ok. the pick up screen can not suck it in The LS is VVT cams, so dropping junk there and hear chain and on those many parts there is asking for trouble. the video on LS chain access is super long job,. so now you know it is easy to dismantle

check fuses scan the PCM or get it serviced. HVad dead. blower motor dead ,silient.? even on HIGH SPEED? blower must not be dead, this is first. if you drive fast hot engine , and recirc mode OFF, i bet at least heat works if yes, blower is dead.

Radiator cooling fans not working? The ECM is protecting the engine by shutting it down.

Check temperature rise when engine is running in that 5 minutes.Check the coolant level. Bleed the air out if necessary. Some cars have an overheat cut off switch that may turn on when coolant is too low that none of it touches the tip of this switch. how many psi is the fuel pressure? If it uses MAF instead of MAP, check if the hose from air cleaner to MAF has no leaks.
