Cadillac DTS - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals
2006 Cadillac DTS. I need wiring diagram for it please?
Hi Joan Whittaker, what does no crank mean.
the starter motor is dead? some posters call d crank= running engine.
which engine there?
cranks fast but will not start.
underhood fuse box f24 blown?
step 2 after all fuses checked is:
shift to Neutral see if that allows cranking per my red circle below
is PCM control.
is the dash IMMO lamp happy?
as you can see the pcm decides to do the cranking or not
via its starter relay.
if you scanned the PCM it will tell you why it id not start.
immo error OR A/t PRNDL (TRS) ERRORS. OOPS
the IMMO page in your users guide covers IMMO
if key 1 fails try key2, car came with 2 keys new.
READ ALL PAGES ON IMMO FIRST
If the engine does not start and the Security System
Light comes on
Security System Light (CLUSTER LAMP ICON LOOKS LIKE CAR CUT IN

Temperature gauge varies.
I would have the cooling fans checked. When the car is moving there is air forced through the radiator naturally. But when stopped, the car relies on the fans to pull air through the radiator to pull heat out of the coolant.
Where is the air injection relay?
• The AIR pump relay--The AIR pump relay supplies high current and battery voltage to the AIR pump. The ECM commands the relay ON by supplying a ground to the relay control circuit.
• The AIR CNTRL relay--The AIR CNTRL relay supplies high current and battery voltage to the AIR solenoid. The ECM commands the relay ON by supplying a ground to the relay control circuit.
Both of these are in the underhood fuse / relay box. Should be labled
Why does ECM and fan fuse keep blowing?
Because you have an electrical short circuit on the wiring that fuse protects . Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop. If you don't know why a fuse would keep blowing .
Is there a shut off button in trunk of 2007 Cadillac DTS?
I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. It would'nt move forward or reverse, engine was good both solenoids for forward and reverse worked, but still couldn't diagnose the problem.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and now it works perfect! covers wiring, codes, diagrams, torque specs, PCV, everything

Between 40-65 mph on or
It sounds like your transmission is having a problem going into and out of overdrive. In drive if you are not accelerating hard through this range, the transmission should go into overdrive and you should see the engine RPMs drop. A bump can occur if the overdrive solenoid is misbehaving (for example, not releasing promptly when you depress the accelerator or engaging promptly when entering this range). You will not see a code unless the solenoid has failed. You should be able to verify this by watching the RPMs carefully when you feel the shudder.
