The thermostat on a 2004 Buick Rainier is located under the housing that connects the large radiator hose to the engine block. You will need to remove the cap that is held on with 2 or 3 bolts to access itI think this is on the passenger side but some diagrams have it on the other side.

There is no override ! Have it checked for code's and then diagnose it with factory trouble tree chart !

Well, the first step in troubleshooting this is going to require a scan tool. You can buy your own at Walmart for ~$25 or most auto parts stores will let you borrow one for free. Please post a new question with any codes that you find on the scan so we can better help you.

They can use a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose all the transmission electronics, sensors, solenoids, modules and check for codes. why not get it scanned with an abs scanner?? save money

Check to make sure te leveling switches by each wheel are working properly. There is a small link from each control arm that connects to the switch. These may be out of adjustment or broken. Also check all your air hose connections, it is most likely a bad O-ring or cracked fitting.

There are air doors in the HVAC box that control air flow and temperature, and each has an actuator controlled by your HVAC control. At least one door is stuck, and this is usually because of an actuator problem. In your car, that actuator could be either vacuum or electrically controlled, and In order to fix the problem, the actuator has be diagnosed. Unfortunately they are very hard to get at under the dash, and usually requires a qualified shop to do this.
