I HAVE A BMW 325CI
You can sometimes get lucky and do a brake fluid flush / replace and the codes can be cleared. Otherwise you will need to replace the two pressure sensors on the master brake cylinder... if you pull the error codes it can tell exactly which one has failed. ( i would do both since you are already in there)...REMEMBER buy BMW OEM parts... this is a difficult repair... so put the right parts in to avoid doing it again in 6 months
Automatic gaer not shifting
have the fault codes read
have a proper diagnosis done by an accredited auto transmission professional shop
Clutch
The best clutch to buy would be one from BMW, but that would be expensive. So if you go with a pirate make sure it is a well known brand and that you get a garuntee.
01 bmw 325i is not shifting before redline
What you describe is called "passing mode". The way it works is a switch under the gas pedal. when you press the pedal most all the way to the floor, the shift point changes to right at redline. It leads to very impressive performance when you punch it. Since this shift point is always on, I would suspect the passing mode switch is stuck in the on position.
2001 bmw 330i
The starter solenoid is defective, the contact inside the solenoid that energize the starter are burned, remove them and look bet they are heavily pitted, replace the starter.
My car was slow to
You’ll have to check amp draw on the starter, it may be bad ornaolenoid has quit. All auto parts stores have a little hand held machine to check this but I’m not sure if they’ll let you borrow it to take it home, if the car can’t make it rob the store.
Hi my bmw 316i 1600
run the fault codes
problems with running rich include:-
injectors not working properly
excessive fuel pressure
leaking injector seals
heated oxygen sensor failure ( they are located in the exhaust manifold /pipe before the cat converter and are used to read the exhaust gas composition and report to the ECM which adjusts the air/fuel mixture accordingly
ambient air /BARO sensor which report the air temp/pressure to again allow the ECM to set mixture
The strong fuel smell can be from fuel leaks , flooding --as stated with injectors or an EVAP system vent solenoid problem
The first 4 possibles would be the most obvious place to start especially with a fault code reading
