Can anyone tell me the newton/metre torqe setting for my 18ins alloys wheel bolts on my audi tt 2001, thanks.

Hi Jill, you have been very busy maintaining your TT! 120Nm/89 ft-lbs is OEM as per Bentley Service manual...I believe it is also in the owners manual.

I am renewing rear brake pads on my audi tt 2001 but how do i get the caliper piston to move back in, i have tried to screw it in but it does not move, help thanks.

You are right in attempting to screw the caliper piston back in! But you will need a special tool to assist you though, it locates into the 2 holes in your caliper piston and it will look similar to the one in the picture: am-renewing-rear-brake-pads-audi-tt-2001-y4qsuauzhtopzytajuuczk2p-5-0.jpeg

When filling with petrol clicking off when tank only half full. Tried usual things pulling hose out slightly wondered if the breathing tube blocked?

It will be a venting issue. Some vehicles have more complex venting systems for the fuel tank. Check on what type you have in your car and you will better be able to diagnose the problem.Check also on some of the Audi internet forums as there will be others who have had the same problem as you are experiencing now. If there is a simple venting system then German manufacturers being what they are will come up with a complex one.

The engine runs very lumpy at low revs but clears above 2500 revs can anyone help?

Start with scan. Sounds like fuel filter or pressure regulator. Check vacuum and throttle body. O2 sensor, I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/howard_977676954994c5b2

I got an Audi TT

  1. Turn on radio. The radio display shows "SAFE".
  2. Press the FM2 and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until "1000" shows on the display. Release the buttons. Do NOT press these buttons again, otherwise the radio will consider "1000" to be the code.
  3. Use Preset buttons 1 ... 4 to enter the four-digit code number from your radio card. Preset button 1 corresponds to the first digit, Preset button 2 corresponds to the second digit, etc. Each press of the button increments the number by 1.
  4. Once the code shown on the display is correct, press the FM2 and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until the word "SAFE" appears in the display, then release the buttons.
  5. The radio should unlock and be usable shortly afterwards.
  6. If an incorrect code is entered, the word "SAFE" appears, first flashing and then continuously. You can repeat the above steps to unlock the radio once more, the number of attempts will be shown in the display. If an incorrect code is entered again, you radio will be locked for about one hour. After one hour - the radio must stay on and the key must remain in the ignition lock - if the display goes out, the you can repeat the above procedure to unlock again. The cycle - two attempts, one hour lock-up - still applies.

How do i change the oil light bulb on the dash seems difficult.

Yes it is complicated, You remove as much of the dash cowling as necessary to be able to then remove the gages as one unit from the dash then remove the bulb from the back of it if it is visible but if not then proceed to disassemble the gage cluster to get at the bulb. Enjoy yourself

The oil warning light is not visible on dash, can anyone help?

Most often a bulb out. Disassemble instrument panel, match and and replace bulb form auto parts store. If bulb is good then replace oil pressure sending unit often located close to the oil filter, on the engine block.

I have changed engine oil and fitted a new oil filter,How can i turn off the engine management icon off.

Oil an filter have nothing to do with engine light . The light is for the OBD2 emission standards , you car is polluting 1.5 times greater then the EPA allows . If the light is on there are DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the PCM / ECM -engine computer ! This is in America an it sounds like you mite be in the UK . We don't talk like that over here , fitted a new oil filter ! We would say put on or installed a new filter ! If in fact you are in the UK the light being still means there is a problem an a DTC is set .
