If your car is not modified, the spark plug gap is 0.032-inches, and the NGK plugs are ideal for your Audi A4 in case you are looking.

That is not true oil and water being mixed can come from many different places. Such as a bad radiator which would cause transmission oil to mix with the water also alot of audi's have a water cooled oil cooler which are a very common cause of oil being mixed with with water. These type of oil coolers are located under you oil filter. They have water lines hooked to them which cools the oil and when they go bad the water and oil will mix. So dont be convinced that its your head gaskets it could be but not as likely. You can pressure test your oil cooler to see if this is the problem just romove it an plug one off the inlet or with rubber plug which can be purchased at you local hardware store (I found mine at ace hardware in there specialty drawers where they have all there bolts) then attach a air hose to the other outlet pressureize the system and place it in a bucket of water. this should tell you if the oil cooler is bad but be careful not to ove3r pressureize the cooler this could damage it and caust it to leak. 15 to 30 psi should be plenty.

check your clutch and fly wheel and if it is a diesel with a turbo if you have a bit of black smoke look at that aswell most likely the clutch dual mass fly wheel

Have you checked the radiator cap for proper pressure? Any leaks?

IIf the vehicle is front wheel drive and now Quattro than then the transmission range sensor is located inside the transmission and is part of the mechatronics unit (valve body). If the vehicle isn't Quattro then the transmission range sensor is bolted to the drivers side of the transmission where the cable connectors to the shift lever. When these range sensors go bad that will cause the flashing or solid PRND light on the cluster.

Press and hold BOTH right and left panel knobs while turning the ignition key to the ON position, the regular ligts come up and cycle. The message 10000 miles till next service should come up meanng the service is reset till next service cycle.

It is located inside the transmission it may be able to be tested from the connector on the side of the transmission though if you have the SDC code for the sensor it will be g-something like G182 for example and looking it up on the wiring diagram for the transmission.

i have a transmition problem on a 2003 audi a4 1.8t whit 44000klm.
audi is changing transmition at no cost but have to paye for labor

go to a dealer with vin and proof of ownership and have them cut you new keys --or search and see if any locksmiths have the authorization to do same

Looks for yellow plug type knob around transmission area.

There are two fuses for the power windows, #22 for the rear windows and #23 for the front windows. They are 30amp fuses and are located on the bottom row of the 8-way relay carrier which is found in the footwell bottom left.

Check that all body grounds under the dash on the firewall are all connected an clean and tight. Sounds like a ground problem.

How does it start when it warms up? If starts good warm, look into the coolant sensor.
