My 2002 polaris 6x6 will start and idle great, but it won't rev up very high in neutral. While driving in high or low it will run great until it reaches over a 1/4 throttle, then it will sputter and struggle to rev higher or pick up more speed. I've eliminated these things as part of what's causing the problem; the airbox, the gas tank, fuel pump, and fule line, the cams and valves, and the carburetor. I need to verify that the correct spark plug is being used, but is there anything else that could be causing this problem?

Sounds like the Rev limiter is being engaged for some reason, had that happen on my Polaris express, the problem was moisture.

1) run a hotter sparkplug
2) if it is sitting for long periods of time your fuel could be stale
3) running the wrong fuel
4) worst case. engine is burning oil This can happen if service's was missed from new as oil becomes abrasive causing excessive wear.or motor was defective from new.

You should have a couple wires running to the front differential with a quick connect plug, check this plug to see if it has come apart or the wires were broken somewhere.

2001 Polaris Trail Boss 325 ATV. Why doesn't it go more than 20 mph?

My guess is that Chinese carburetor is not jetted or set up right. It may not even be opening fully. Ask in the Polaris forums. Top speed should be 45 mph.

1993 polaris big boss 350 6x6 new carb new plug new coil 120#compresion will not start wat else can i do

If you have a spark and it will start on starting fluid it is a fuel problem. If not you have a ignition problem. Check all switches and connections. Check neutral safety switch.

My polaris 700 twin side by side 6x6 turns over but will not start. actslike it wants to

Hopefully it is not low compression and it is just a dirty fuel system or fouled plug. Make sure the batt is fully charged and spray some started fluid in the intake and see if it will start. If it runs rough clean the carb.

First question since i am assuming it was just sitting around for some time if i am correct you need to pull the carb remove the float bowl and components if everything was done correctly with your rebuild the likely problem is your carb is gummed up remove everything in the carb low speed jet etc. soak everything in sea foam fuel cleaner overnight and hopefully you have some compressed air and blow out that low speed jet and passage way pay close attention that you have see fluid coming from the other end and check the jet make sure it is unclogged hold it up to the light.

Based on information provided I would start with just checking the basics as far as servicing goes, starting with air filter, is it clean, and is there anything preventing it from breathing easily. Check the accelerator cabling, might be dry, stuck or mucky somewhere from pedal to carburetor that can cause similar problems. Check oil level of motor as well.. Hope this helps
