I have a 2005 artic cat 400 it starts and runs great for the first 5 to 10 minutes after that time it will idle great but kills when I give it gas. . do I need a manual choke in it ?

SOURCE: Have an artic cat 400 4x2, not sure of the year. I get it started through the reserve primer then i switch over to regular tank it idles fine for a short bit then it revs high and quits. Any ideas

It is not getting fuel from the reserve tank for some reason. check for a blockage some where , may be a fuel filter.

SOURCE: Pulled the plug wire off the right cylinder and it killed the engine

Pull the carb and have it cleaned and rebuilt.

Sounds like you have an ignition misfire, check the plug wires and spark plugs.
