Sounds like you have a wire that is ALMOST broken or the insulation is worn off and grounding, or turning is pulling a wire loose from a connection. .. this type of problem is HARD to trace down sometimes... good luck
Verify that the shift cables are making a complete shift at the tranny, if the cable has failed or stretched, it may not be shifting completely. Most Suzuki King Quads have a metal shift rod on the left side which select low high and super low. And also have a shift lever on top. The vin number is usually located on the rear uprights behind the seat. Also there is usually a date stamped on the seat itself that may help.
