Check and make sure the notches on the stator plate are lined up with the notch on the cases. You will have to pull off the left side case cover to have access to the stator.
thank you johnny , we did all that for sure when we replaced it , i was thinking aboutnit and i think its the air fule mix is a bit on the lean side , when i figure out how to adjust it ill let every one know, thanks again
remove the carb, and disassemble it so you can remove the jets. Once they are removed, ream them to make sure they are 100% clear. Also you will have easy access to your air/fuel mixture screw located underneath the front of the carb. Try and find out what the factory settings are on the air/fuel mixture screw and set it to factory specs. They usually are set around 1 1/2 to 2 turns out.
