Make sure that the neutral safety switch is working. It can be overridden by squeezing the brakes when attempting to start.

If it starts by squeezing the brake levers does that mean the nuetral safety switch is bad? My N don't light up when I know it's in nuetral but still starts

I can squeeze brake levers or cross up solenoid and will start both ways

Check your starter solenoid. You can trace it by following the power wire from the battery to the small solenoid block that contains a 30 amp fuse. You can bridge the posts on the solenoid by using needle nose pliers or whatever else you may have. If it starts up or you hear the starter run, you have a bad starter solenoid.

Testimonial: "it ended up being a corroded wire from my starter button.. bypassed the wire and works great. thanks"

I have a 2005 brute force 750 won't start with electric start it will start when I pull start it will run.when it's running the lites and display are flickering .

Sounds like your battery is about dead... replace the battery and clean the connectors/wires/terminals.. and a little waterproof grease will stop the corrosion. Make sure the new connections are tight!

I have a 05' brute force. It starts and idles great but when i drive it misses out and when i let off the gas it backfires. Any ideas why? I have cleaned the carbs and changed spark plugs

Do you have a multi-meter and can check your cdi? The cdi is known as an igniter. It's what actually sends the signal to the ignition coil to fire down to the plug. If you can test your cdi and let me know, I'll see if I can find the specs - also, are you able to check your timing?

They started with turn on the 650 brute force but the engine will not Turn

Retell this story with an exact stage of what you do and what if anything happens.
Do you mean you press the starter button and absolutely nothing happens or is there a click of a solenoid? There are safety circuits on atv's to prevent in-gear starting etc. Are all these correctly functioning?

How long since the oil has been changed? Is the oil level OK? It sounds like you have a sticky valve that hangs open once in a while.

Atv starts and runs but has no power

I haven't done much with atvs but check your compression by removing the spark plug(s) and the hole where they go hold your finger over it and hit the start button and there should be enough force to shoot your finger out and it should make a put put put sound, if there is little force that means you have low compression and its kinda hard to fix, test your compression and tell me what happens
