A fuse will burn out and need to be replaced after diagnosing why it overloaded and a circuit breaker will reset automatically or manually. A breaker is used in headlight systems for example so the lights can still be used to get off the highway as the breaker resets as it cools off.

Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine . Under system click on body & accessories , then under subsystem click on power windows . I see a 30 amp fuse F1 located in the smart junction box (inside fuse box) , F47 30 amp fuse same location . F41 15 amp fuse . Don't see any circuit breaker's invloved . What fuse number is for sunroof

I don't really see a dedicated fuse or circuit breaker for the moonroof. I do see a 30 amp circuit breaker for the mmonroof but that also controls the power windows and the sliding back light as well as the moonroof, so if you're not having problems with the other stuff I would say it's not the circuit breaker. There is a 10 amp fuse for the delayed accessory power for audio, power door lock switch & the moonroof switch illumination. The 30 amp circuit breaker is located in the number 401 position in the passenger compartment fuse box (see picture below) and the 10 amp fuse I was telling you about is in the number 22 position. If it's just the moonroof itself I would check to make sure the switch itself is good or even the motor could be bad. I see no fuseable link going to the switch but that's not saying there may be a bad wire so check for power to the switch. Wish i could have been a little more help but in this case this is all I can give you. I hope this helps and good luck. Here is your picture:

What fuse do i need for the electric windows in a 2006 pontiac grand prix

It's not a Fuse you need, it's a 30 Amp Breaker type Relay. More or less it looks like a fuse where it plugs in, but looking at the fuse box, it's an aluminum looking thing the same length as your fuse and about 3/16" thick. It's main purpose is should the 30 Amps be exceeded, it will go open-circuit, until it cools down, then will work fine. On the back of your fuse door, look for your power windows "fuse/relay" and see if someone inadvertently placed a regular green 30 Amp fuse in it's place. This relay may also control things such as power seats, rear window defrosters and things of this order. If all else fails, just call a Dealerships Parts Department and they'll be glad to tell you whether you take a standard 30 Amp relay and the exact location of where it lives. (smile)

Hope this Helps,

~00 Buck~

I have a 97' f150 4.2 eng 2 wheel drive pickup elect. problem

A fuse blown is a short, and a short is a ahort.
The fuse is the ecm so unplug the ecm and see what happens. If the fuse holds with theecm unplugged, then it is your ecm that needs relacement. If it still blows, The short is in the wiring.go to the parts store and pick up and automatic circuit breaker. It plugs in where the bad fuse goes. It will trip and reset itself automaticallly like a flasher until you have located the short. trick, Start with a breaker of amp. examole; if you took out a 20 amp, put in a 10 amp so the breaker trips faster, On and off quicker so you don't have to wait between ressets. If you want to trace the short by the wiring, put a 25 amp or with great caution a 30 amp. That is the limit. The wire will get warm on the 25 and even warmer on the 30. Pay attention that the wire does not get hot. Hopefully yhe 25 will get the wire warm enough for you to follow. Good Luck, Ned. This method is dangerous if you don't pay very close attention using the high amp breaker. There is a risk of fire if the circuit cannot handle 30 amps. In fact, only yuse the 30 amp breaker if the 25 breaks and resets too fast. Good Luck_Ned_

Wiper fuse keeps blowing intermittently.

It looks like the wire circuit for the wiper motor is touching the car body when shaken so the only thing you can do is shake the wires and terminals yourself while engine is running then maybe you can pinpoint where the earthing is.
