My Suzuki ATV starts hard then when warm is great. I have checked the fuel valve, air filter, and spark. Drained gas and used Sea Foam. Also new battery. If carburetor issue would it run good at all. After hot it starts good.
Sounds like a choke issue. A badly frayed cable must might prevent full operation/ opening or the choke circuit is blocked
Clean and keep a spare pair of plugs , use better octane gas , 92 is the best for bikes , cost a little more but stops the problems you have starting , make sure you wires are not grounding out and carb has no vacuum leaks , ck hoses and air filter
The carburetor choke valve might be stuck open or not closing when the engine is cold. The engine needs a richer mixture to start. Too rich a mixture (flooding) can also cause trouble. Turn the fuel valve off to be sure the carb isn't leaking when not in use. If it smokes black on startup, it's flooding. Also check the condition of the spark plugs.
