Olaris sportsman 800 epi AWD...an it has been

Olaris sportsman 800 epi AWD...an it has been hesitating 2 take gear then when u give gas it jerked...then today was riding an it just got up to operating temperature an it started losing speed like it was slipping an then clacking or knocking an stalled engine, then when I cranked it back it was still clacking or knocking ...from clutch....so I cut off an pulled back 2 trailer ...wat is wrong the clutch?...I think a bearing is Tryn 2 seize up..

Hey Anon,
This sounds very serious..Unless you are a VERY GOOD mechanic, you need to take this machine to a qualified professional..it will be best in the long run...

tsb remove dist cap ,clean out breather holes i replaced cap and rotor at the same time. chevy has the problem with the 4.3l astro,s and blazer i have both.fixed the problem when buying the cap and rotor the directions inside will also tell you how to fix

2008 Polaris Sportsman 800 Touring. Hard to shift, sticks in gear while running, have to raise rpm to get it out of gear but shifts fine while engine is off.

Hi,

Your clutch would usually be the issue. But your ATV has automatic clutch so we can disregard that.. I will get that you need to alter your final drive (ie check 2wd, awd etcc).

The problem could also be belt related, so you might want to check the status of the belt. If you need more help, you can also call Polaris at 1 (800) 765-274.

2005 sportsman why does it shut of when the lights are on when riding

Sounds like you have a problem in the charging system. The alternator is giving the system enough charge with no lights but cant keep up when lights are on. This also happens if you are running other lights without being correctly connected through a relay.

If you have a primary and secondary clutch, and your ATV still fails to move with proof that they are working, my best advice would be to check the pilot shaft and the gears for excessive wear. Even in new products, the case of excessive wear can be well known, and it would be wise to take it back to the dealer if you continue to have the problem.
