Hi I have a 1998 Polaris 500 Indy XTRA-10 snowmobile and the headlights keep dimming. They go bright and now are staying dim. I checked the ground and the headlight switch and they are working. Can you tell me my problem
its not hard to put a new one in in the long run it would be easier and a lot less headache

Hello, this in Andy let me ask you a question, When was the last timeyou replace the battery? have you check for false contact on the cattery cables remember his batteries have acid and with time start eating tou cable terminals creating false contact. Now have you replace bulb for factory bulb remember aftermarket (or non original bulbs) may have more watz consumption overloading magneto stator (alternatior). after you dont all this and you continue having the same problem you may want to replace your stator
It doesn't have a battery it has a pull start. It has the original bulbs. Could it possibly be the regulator?
