How do you remove a stator coil cover on a 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 700 atv?

I'm trying to replace the stator coil on my 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 700, and I am having trouble doing so. How would I remove the cover?

Drian engine oil take side cover should be an 8m to 12m depending on the model... the stator might be attached to the cover or might have a mount holding it into place to the fly wheel

Which is more likely to fail on a 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI - The Stator or the voltage regulator/rectifier?

Unless there is a factory notice/recall, the chance is equal one will fail before the other... Sounds like its time to have it professionally checked, being a "parts replacer" type of mechanic can be VERY expensive. You might get lucky and the problem is cured by the first part you replace or it could be NONE of the above..(broken wire, bad connection..etc..).. and then you spend untold $$$$ and not fix it!!

2009 grizzly 700 will only run when starter button is held display only works when trying to start it

The primary circuit has a ground connection so everything works... your secondary circuit doesn't have a solid ground. Go over all your ground connections carefully.

2011 Yamaha grizzly 700 special edition there is a plastic cover missing by left foot peg do you know what it is called looks like it covers oil dip stick area

These are often called plastic side covers or cowlings. Your Yamaha dealer should be able to give a quote on the price and then you can seek the part for much less elsewhere.
