I put in the wrong kind of gas in my 2007 ford escape and now it wont start im not sure what kind of gas it was but it was clear and thick
Open the gas fill door, remove the gas cap and smell the gas fill tube area. If it has a kerosene like smell then you may have filled it with diesel fuel. If so select your favorite garage to drain the tank and flush the fuel system to remove the diesel.
This vehicle should run on any type of gasoline so I suspect the fluid you put in was not gasoline.

Your probably getting vapor lock. Try pulling the nozzle out just a tiny bit....like maybe 1/4 inch and see if that helps.

This feature is programmed into the smart junction box(interior fuse panel) If your vehicle was originally equipped with this feature then you may just need to have it reprogrammed or turned on by the dealer with their scan tool. If it was not originnaly egipped then the smart junction box would have to be replaced.
