Anything around 100 would be acceptable. 85 is about the minimum that an engine will run on.

Leslie, Check rear brake connection, pull down on the rear spring to turn the brake light on and off..repeat until it gets worked out..you can spray some light oil/WD40 on it to help clean it out. First be sure to check oil level if you haven't. Many have a low level shut off switch. If the level of oil gets below a certain point it can shut off. Just a thought.

Maybe, vapor lock. Gas cap is not venting.

semi-synthetic 0w40 oil for the 500,600,700 sportsman quads, check what clutch your ATV has, "cvt" (continuosly variable transmission) clutches, or 'wet clutch'. 10w-40 or the 0w-40 that has the additves for "wet clutch" applications.

have you checked the valve clearances?
