Honda 2005 FourTrax Rancher AT - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I take help from online websites that have this service like helping in repair some like reliable-store have instant help.. others are a bit slow which I don't prefer... rest is up to u.. U can also get free manual works fine .

Could be shift sensor or need to pull shift motor and gears clean and re-grease , some of the honda grease was too stiff.

Starter solenoid needs a good clean or re-pacing also chek you sater is ok take off and test with battery

Hey Leonard, Take your battery to O'Reilly, Autozone, Advance Auto and get the CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) checked.. this is a load test.. and the only way to get a battery checked to find out if its really good. Make sure the battery connections are CLEAN and tight. 12+ volts will make the lights work.. but it takes amperage to make the engine starter work!! Do this and repost/respond on here..

If that is the plunger type choke it is stuck. Try to get the choke out of the carb clean it and put Vasoline on it and it should work fine. I have ran into to this a few times.

Hey, You are venturing into an area that will cause more problems in the long run. If the ATV is actually yours, take it to a dealer and they can get you a key, or.. you can take it to a quality reputable locksmith shop and they can make you a key. Please do not start cutting and rewiring.. it only leads to more problems!!

can't find the fuel filter on my cub cadet

My guess is someone put the wrong fluid in it. It probably needs to be rebuilt.

take the choke out of the carb using a 14mm wrench. The choke is a plunger held into the front of the carb by a plastic nut. Lubricate it and put it back. Be careful not to overtighten the plastic nut.

Be sure the plug at the rear of the engine ic properly attached and clean. It gets knocked off easily.

fuel line plugged, carb needs cleaning, bad gas

I assume it a honda with auto trans,,,, if so needs new oil pump,,, thats what makes tthe trans work it supplies the oil to the trans so it can make presure to work

starter is probly bad and shorting out

out of gas, clogged petcock, fuel filter or stuck carb float. assuming you're getting a spark still of course. that's a whole other can of worms
