Hey Dave, thought I answered this already,,,??? Classic "brass kit" symptom! >>> You need a "brass kit".. this is the needle jet and the jet needle in the center of the carb. The jet needle is the thin needle that hangs down from the center of the slide... The needle jet is the "hole" that the jet needle slides into...Remove the carb, take the bowl off, remove the main jet, the needle jet holder should be able to be gently tapped out, the needle jet is a short brasspiece,, it comes out through the hole where the slide goes,,, reinstall the NEW needle jet, needle jet holder...(it may have a groove in it for correct location). once its seated, you can reinstall the main jet..NOW >> to install a new jet needle,,, remove the slide from the carb.. remove the spring and seat from the slide that holds the needle jet in place.. NOTE which groove the clip is in on the old needle.... What is the compression? This leads me to think you may have more of an internal issue. Have the compression checked, with throttle wide open, then repost with the results.

Hey Matt, sounds like the switch is going bad.. I would see if it will start - WITH THE KEY OFF by "jumping" the solenoid.. if the switch is bad.. it might start... and confirm the switch is bad..

Hey Frank, This could be the issue, has this atv been sitting up for a length of time? ... I would put a new spark plug in first,, you may have water in the carb.....you can drain the float bowl and put in the new plug,,, see if that cures it, other wise get the carb professionally cleaned and set. Try this and reply to me.

Hello Anon.. First, I would check to make sure the carbs are getting fuel, and then fuel getting into the cylinders. Your question about low oil - did you let it get low and then it quit? ... If you put oil into the cylinders and only got 100psi, this might be your problem. You should be pumping around 120+psi without putting anything into the cylinders... Recheck the compression.= .take out all spark plugs...screw the gauge in until the o-ring seats, hold the throttle wide open while spinning the engine over for about 5 seconds... you should get 120psi +/- 10psi. If you are getting less than 100psi.. it might be time for a rebuild..

try them, worst case it doesnt start.

How do you know they are gas lines? Are they the same diameter? Why are they not still connected?Does this ATV have a fuel pump? If so they probably connect to the pump.. one is the fuel line and one is a vacuum line... the other probably an overflow.

if it has a carb, clean it.

Check that the rev governor/throttle cable adjuster screw has not slipped out of adjustment (lock nut vibrated loose).

not to familiar with the part, but I have good success with using JB weld

just loop a wire around it so it doesnt fall in, it'll stay on the crank.

pump is suffering excessive oil pressure you are very short on the details of the failure --broken shaft , gears , chain housing etc but I would be checking oil passage blockages, faulty pump pressure regulator spun bearing that the pump feeds into the oil galleys

If it is water cooled it is probably a head gasket.

I take help from online websites that have this service like helping in repair some like reliable-store have instant help.. others are a bit slow which I don't prefer... rest is up to u.. U can also get free manual works fine .

timing may have jumped and bent the intake valve causing it to blow back into the carb on the compression stroke.

sounds like fuel flow from the tank is having trouble and its running off the gas built up in the bowl. could be the petcock, tank strainer, tank vent clogged

Sounds like your battery is about dead... replace the battery and clean the connectors/wires/terminals.. and a little waterproof grease will stop the corrosion. Make sure the new connections are tight!

ground wire from the switches to the CDI is broken somewhere.
